The main cholesterol labeled as “bad” cholesterol is referring to low-density lipoproteins. This increases with meals high in saturated fats. Reducing saturated fat content lowers circulating blood levels of cholesterol, protecting the artery walls from plaquing.

Signs Of High Cholesterol

There are 2 different signs of high cholesterol levels that can be seen in or around the eyes.

The first one is cholesterol deposits on the eyelid or in the area of the depression between the eye and the nose. These are called xanthomas.
