Visiting the Chiropractor Again

For instance, I’ve seen people where I don’t see them for another four or five years. They come back with mild discomfort. They just need another visit. My typical plan is to get you out of the pain – get you to that 90, 98, hundred percent improvement. Then put you on something that’s called supportive care if needed.

Especially if you have any other issues, like arthritis of the spine, people call it arthritis, but that’s really just a degenerative disc disease, degenerative joint disease. Things that’ll predispose you to episodes later on in life. Once again, it’s all about how we manage it.

So once we get you out of that pain, there are things you can be doing at the house that will keep you from having to come and visit me again. Most people will like to, on a once a month type situation, come in and get the mobilization or manipulation to make sure that everything is functioning how it should be and to protect against another episode.

But most of the time, if you are doing at home recommendations or maintenance, you don’t have to for the rest of your life. You may want to visit further down the road. It all depends on how you’ve taken care of it at home and what you do for a living.
